Hostel Nixar
Nixar is the first hostel in the city of Almería, located right in the historic centre at 24 Calle Antonio Vico, just 200 metres from Puerta de Purchena. Behind the project is a local team from Almería who have brought a historic building back to life, transforming it into a modern, functional hostel full of character.
We welcome all kinds of travellers, from solo travellers and couples to sports teams, summer camps, Erasmus groups, school trips and families.
We can accommodate up to 150 guests, we're also an ideal choice for large group bookings, with the option to book the entire hostel exclusively.
The building and its history
Nixar Hostel occupies the building that was once home to the former Pensión Nixar, a well-known guesthouse in Almería during the 1980s. Following a complete renovation, this once largely abandoned building has been transformed into a modern hostel spanning four floors plus an attic, while proudly preserving the name and legacy of the original property.
Just a few minutes' walk away, you'll find the Alcazaba, Almería Cathedral, Puerta de Purchena and a historic centre full of culture, life and excellent local food.
Our two spacious terraces also offer fantastic views over the city and the chance to enjoy Almería's wonderful climate throughout the year.
